Yes-O is an organization responding to be of help in the environment and as part of this Organization when our Department of Education – Pasay Division partnered with C.O.R.E (Center for Outdoor Recreation and Expedition) call the attention of the different schools in Pasay, PCCANHS responded with enthusiasm.
Last June 17, 2017 – Saturday YES-O Adviser Ms. Jennelyn Belen together with her YES-O President Madilyn Onisa join an event called Coastal Clean-Up in Las Piñas – Parañaque Critical Habitat Ecotourism Area. This was participated by YES-O Club of different Pasay High Schools and C.O.R.E volunteers. All participants gathered in front of Pasay City hall before they moved to Parañaque Coastal Area. Meet up happened at 6:00 AM and started the clean-up at 7:00 AM. Since most of the Coastal Clean-up Drive happen exactly at the shoreline the coordinator of the event make a different strategy by cleaning the area where mostly not noticed by other Environmental Organizations, the roadside between the shoreline and the lagoon. We see pile of trashes that actually buried in the soil. First we thought we’re stepping in a soft soil but as we gather and dig the ground we found out that what we are stepping are pile of garbage, some soil and roots of the plants.
