The school’s first investiture of senior scouts after pandemic was held on March 4, 2023 at the school’s grounds. The program was attended by 50 senior scouts with their parents and guardians, five teacher-scouters, school principal and assistant school principal. The program started with preliminaries led by Sctr. Arwin Nollora followed by Sctr. Jovel Martinez and Sctr. Ariel Jorryne Dimaano who led the scout oath and law and BSP mission and vision, respectively. Sctr. Cedrick Jayden Belga led the senior scout code. Sctr. Roger B. Escarilla, gave his opening remarks by mentioning the importance of scouting. He told the scouters or senior scouts that investiture ceremony marks the formal acceptance of the boys and girls in the movement after completing the requirements of membership and have fully understood the scouting.
Meanwhile, Sctr. Grace B. Torres, School Principal, gave her message to the senior scouts by mentioning the aims which are to promote BSP as foremost in developing the young people to become responsible citizens and leaders in their respective homes and communities and foster camaraderie among members as brothers and sisters, the scouting way. “Let’s revitalize scouting in our school and we have to do our traditional values like honoring gesture as a sign of respect to elders in Filipino culture,” she said. Sctr. Torres led also the investiture proper by declaring all the scouters an official senior scouts of the school.
In addition, Sctr. Ariel Tarrayo, did his closing remarks by thanking all the senior scouts, parents, teacher-scouters, Assistant Principal and School Principal.He was busy for weeks to prepare the event. The program was hosted by Sctr. Weena Cabanlong who made her acknowledgment by thanking all the attendees after the exit of colors. RBE
