.Finally, last September 6, 2019 (Friday), the excitements of Corazonians were concluded as the President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino National High School had its Acquaintance Party 2019 led by the newly elected officers of the PCCCANHS General Parents- Teachers Association (GPTA) as their first project. With the theme “Corazon@ 5th Year”, the event was a success as it was attended by the school heads, teachers and almost seven hundred students coming from both Junior High and Senior High School Department. The event started witha national anthem followed by a prayer and a welcome remarks given by Mrs. Grace Perlas, GPTA President. Our supportive Assistant Principal Dr. Cynthia D. Abella delivered her inspirational message in behalf of our dear School Principal, Dr. Efren E. Canzana who had been very supportive since the planning of the event. The party boosted the excitement of the students when the different highlights of the event were announced. These include the Fashionista of the Night (male and female category), DalagangFilipinia and Binatang Filipino, The Early Birds, The Best Section (with complete attendees), The LGBT Q and A Contest, and of course the Raffle Draw which made the students bring home prizes like money and cellphones. Each of the winner received cash prizes. The Acquaintance Party announced the proceeds of the project before the noise and the lights went out. The GPTA presented the turnover of P20, 000. 00 to the Faculty Employee Association of the school (PCCCANHS- FEA) as represented by Mrs. JunbethB. Santos (FEA PRO). The amount was shared to the said association as way of honoring them in the Teachers’ Day Month Celebration. Aside from this, other proceeds include, the purchasing of a new school sound system, installing of whiteboards in the laboratories of Science Department, and providing additional CCTV for the safety of the students and the school. The GPTA also donated P3000.00 for the Corazonians who participated the Pasay City – 40th Press Conference. The gathering ended with a closing at 8 pm as the GPTA President, Mrs. Perlas acknowledged the people behind the success of the activity as part of the closing remarks
