President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino National High School successfully conducted its State of the School Address (SOSA) 2026 and Parents’ Orientation on June 19, 2026, at the PCCCANHS Quadrangle, bringing together parents, learners, teachers, and stakeholders in a meaningful gathering focused on strengthening collaboration and supporting learner success for School Year 2026-2027.

The activity served as an important venue for informing parents and stakeholders about the school’s accomplishments, ongoing projects, priority programs, and future directions aimed at improving learner outcomes and promoting educational excellence. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the school and the community in creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment for all students.

The program formally opened with the Welcome Remarks of Mr. Terence V. Reyes, Assistant School Principal II, who emphasized the vital role of parents and stakeholders in the educational journey of learners. He highlighted that strong cooperation among the school, homes, and the community is essential in achieving quality education and holistic learner development.

The highlight of the event was the State of the School Address (SOSA) delivered by Dr. Sonny J. Adriano, Ph.D., School Principal III. During his presentation, he shared the school’s significant accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and developmental plans that support the academic, social, emotional, and personal growth of learners. He also presented updates on school performance, programs, and efforts undertaken to provide quality and inclusive education.

Adding a personal touch to his address, Dr. Adriano shared his inspiring journey as a working student, encouraging learners to persevere despite challenges and remain committed to achieving their dreams through education. His message served as a source of motivation for both learners and parents, highlighting the value of determination, resilience, and hard work.

As part of the orientation, Ms. Rosalyn SR. Camacho, Teacher VI and Guidance Coordinator, discussed DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026, or the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE). The discussion focused on promoting a positive, inclusive, safe, and nurturing school environment where learners can develop academically and personally while being protected from all forms of discrimination, bullying, and other barriers to learning.

The school’s special programs and learning interventions were also presented by Mr. John Paul G. Madeja, Master Teacher I. These included the Open High School Program (OHSP), ARAL and Reading Remedial Program, Sports Clinic, Alternative Learning System (ALS), ALIVE Program, Project SIKAP, and NUMERO. These initiatives are designed to strengthen literacy, numeracy, values formation, academic achievement, and the overall development of learners while ensuring that no student is left behind.

A significant part of the program was the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Officers for 2026, administered by Dr. Sonny J. Adriano. The ceremony symbolized the commitment of parent leaders to actively support the school’s programs and initiatives and further strengthened the partnership between parents and the school community.

The event concluded with the Closing Remarks of Mr. Marion Kenneth L. Samson, FEA President, who expressed his gratitude to all parents, teachers, school personnel, and stakeholders for their continued support, cooperation, and active participation in school activities. He encouraged everyone to remain engaged and united in advancing the welfare and success of every learner.
