President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino National High School successfully participated in the Simultaneous National Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting disaster preparedness, safety, and resilience among learners and school personnel.

The activity was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Sonny J. Adriano, School Principal III, and Mr. Chris Patrick Nicerio, NDRRM Coordinator, with the support and supervision of the school’s Master Teachers, Head Teachers, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff. Through their collective efforts, the drill was carried out in an organized, safe, and effective manner, ensuring the active participation of the entire school community.

The earthquake drill aimed to strengthen the preparedness of learners and personnel by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and practical skills needed during earthquake emergencies. Participants demonstrated the proper execution of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and followed established evacuation protocols designed to minimize risks and ensure safety during disaster situations.

Throughout the activity, learners and personnel displayed discipline, cooperation, and awareness of emergency response procedures. The successful implementation of the drill highlighted the school’s dedication to fostering a culture of preparedness and ensuring that every member of the school community understands their role during emergency situations.

The conduct of the Simultaneous National Earthquake Drill serves as an important reminder that disaster preparedness is a shared responsibility.
