President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino National High School successfully conducted its Anti-Bullying Campaign Talk on November 27, 2025, held at the school library. The initiative supports the mandates of DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 (Child Protection Policy) and Republic Act 10627 (Anti-Bullying Act of 2013), emphasizing the school’s commitment to safeguarding learners’ well-being.
Two sessions were facilitated throughout the day. The morning session (10:00 a.m.–12:00 noon) gathered 58 learners from Grades 8, 10, and 12, while the afternoon session (1:00–2:30 p.m.) accommodated 70 learners from Grades 7, 9, and 11.
The program formally opened with a prayer and welcome remarks followed by the introduction of the guest speaker, Mr. Ariel Z. Delos Reyes. To set the tone, he engaged students through the impactful activity “Ang Lukot na Papel,” illustrating how hurtful words and actions leave lasting emotional scars even after apologies are made.
Mr. Delos Reyes then delivered a comprehensive discussion on the nature of bullying—its definition, forms, causes, and its emotional, psychological, and academic impact. He highlighted various types of bullying, including physical, verbal, relational, cyberbullying, gender-based bullying, and gang-related violence. Students were encouraged to reflect on these behaviors within the school community and online platforms.
An interactive segment titled “Stand Up – Sit Down” allowed students to anonymously acknowledge their experiences and observations related to bullying, fostering empathy and awareness among participants.
A key component of the talk centered on the legal framework of school-based anti-bullying measures. Mr. Delos Reyes explained important provisions under Republic Act 10627, including reporting procedures, learners’ rights, and corresponding disciplinary actions for bullying incidents. Learners were assured that clear protocols and protective policies are in place to ensure fairness and safety.
The speaker also introduced the S.T.A.N.D. Framework, which encourages students to:
Toward the end of the program, participants completed an Exit Ticket Activity, signing a pledge titled “Panunumpa Laban sa Pambu-bully: ‘Maging Kaibigan, Hindi Mang-aapi.’” Through this written commitment, learners vowed to show respect, speak up against bullying, support peers in need, and contribute to a kinder, safer school environment.
Both sessions concluded with an open forum where students openly shared their insights and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to discuss a sensitive yet important issue in a supportive space. A photo opportunity with all participants wrapped up the event.
Overall, the Anti-Bullying Campaign Talk achieved its goals of raising awareness, promoting empathy, and empowering learners to take an active role in creating a safe and child-friendly school community. PCCCANHS remains steadfast in upholding a culture of respect, inclusivity, and student protection.
