President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino National High School (PCCCANHS) successfully held its month-long Science Month Celebration from September 4 to October 2, 2025, under the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon, Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan.”
Spearheaded by the Science Department, in collaboration with other academic departments and student organizations, the event highlighted the crucial role of science, technology, and innovation in building a sustainable and progressive future. With full support from the school administration, teachers, and students, the celebration became a platform for learning, creativity, and community spirit.
Inspiring Kick-Off
The opening program set the tone for the celebration, featuring a keynote address by Mr. Michael C. Artoza, Principal, and an inspirational message from Mr. Terence V. Reyes, Assistant Principal. Both leaders emphasized the importance of science in shaping solutions to today’s challenges and encouraged students to embrace optimism, innovation, and proactive action in pursuing their dreams.
The program also included a recap of the 2024 Science and Technology Fair and the rationale for this year’s activities, underscoring science as a guiding force in solving real-world problems.

The month-long festivities featured a variety of academic and creative competitions that sparked students’ curiosity and showcased their talents. Among the most notable were:
- Banner and Slogan Making Contest – Junior High and Senior High School students competed in crafting visual messages of sustainability and innovation.
- Poster Making Contest – With 36 participants, students produced impactful artworks centered on eco-friendly practices and scientific advancement.
- Science Quiz Bee – From Grades 7 to 12, students tested their knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science, with winners emerging from each grade level.
- Interactive Games and Magic Tricks – Classroom demonstrations and booth presentations combined fun and learning, giving students hands-on experiences that deepened their understanding of science concepts.
- Closing Ceremony – Culminating on October 2, 2025, the program recognized winners, participants, and facilitators. In his closing remarks, Mr. Bryan Orgel, Science Club Adviser, expressed gratitude for the teamwork that ensured the event’s success despite challenges.
Overcoming Challenges
The celebration was not without hurdles, as heavy rains and class suspensions required rescheduling of several events. However, through close coordination and adaptability, the organizing committee successfully carried out all activities without diminishing quality or enthusiasm.
